VidYash Aerospace designs, builds and flies unmanned aerial systems — airframe, avionics, autonomy and payload — for work that can only be done properly from above: mapping land, watching crops and energy assets, finding the fault before it becomes a failure, and keeping people and infrastructure safe.
A drone is only as useful as the weakest layer in it — the structure, the flight controller, the sensor, the link, the pilot, the paperwork. We engineer all six, so nothing is left to a supplier’s assumption.

UAV Platform Engineering
Airframe, structure and propulsion designed around an endurance and payload target rather than a catalogue frame. Multirotor for the close work, fixed-wing and hybrid VTOL for the long corridor — sized, stressed and bench-tested before anything is flown over an asset.

Avionics, Autonomy & Flight Control
Flight control, navigation and mission autonomy with redundancy designed in — RTK-grade positioning, dual links, geofencing, and failsafe behaviour that is specified and tested rather than inherited. Waypoint, corridor and repeat-mission flying that returns the same frame from the same point every visit.

Sensor Payloads & Integration
RGB, multispectral, thermal and LiDAR payloads on stabilised gimbals, integrated so that every frame arrives georeferenced, time-synced and calibrated. Payload bays, power and data budgets are part of the airframe design, not a bracket added afterwards.

Aerial Survey & Photogrammetry
Flight plans built for the deliverable: orthomosaics, digital surface and terrain models, contours, volumetrics and 3D reconstruction. Ground control and RTK/PPK workflows give survey-grade accuracy that a boundary dispute, a design drawing or a stockpile invoice can rest on.

Ground Control, Links & Fleet Operations
Mission planning, live telemetry, command-and-control links and a fleet view that knows which aircraft flew what, when, with which payload, and what it found. Flights, logs and outputs stay tied together, so a result can always be traced back to the sortie that produced it.

Airworthiness, Compliance & Flight Ops
Type certification and UIN pathways under India’s Drone Rules, licensed remote pilots, maintenance schedules, airspace clearance and documented standard operating procedures. Legal, insurable, repeatable flying — the part of drone work most operators discover too late.

The aircraft is not the point.
Nobody buys a flight. They buy the acre they can now measure, the panel string that stopped producing, the crack they found before the monsoon, the intruder who did not get as far as the transformer. We fly for the land, the assets and the people on them — our own group’s sites among them.

Agriculture & crop intelligence
Multispectral and thermal passes that show vigour, stress, moisture and stand count across a whole holding in a single sortie. Spray planning and aerial application support, growth-stage tracking through the season, and damage assessment for insurance and compensation claims.

Energy asset monitoring
Thermal inspection of solar plants that finds hotspots, failed diodes and dead strings module by module; blade and tower surveys on wind assets; line, tower and substation patrols along transmission corridors. Whole-plant coverage in a morning, with every defect pinned to a location and a serial.

Infrastructure & construction
Monthly progress capture against drawings, earthwork and stockpile volumetrics, corridor mapping for roads, canals and pipelines, and close inspection of bridges, dams, chimneys and rooftops. The structure is surveyed without putting a person on a rope or a scaffold.

Land survey & mapping
Topographic and cadastral survey, boundary and encroachment mapping, contour generation and site planning for land that has never been measured accurately. What a chain survey party covers in a fortnight is flown in a day, and delivered as data rather than a drawing.

Safety, security & asset protection
Night thermal patrols and scheduled perimeter sweeps over farms, solar parks, substations, warehouses and project sites. Intrusion, theft, cable and panel pilferage, illegal quarrying, encroachment and unauthorised movement are detected from the air and recorded as timestamped, georeferenced evidence — with a response directed to the right coordinate rather than a general direction.

Emergency response & environment
Rapid aerial assessment after flood, fire, storm or crop failure — the extent mapped in hours while access roads are still cut. Thermal search support, leak and pollution tracing along channels and effluent lines, and vegetation and water-body monitoring over time.

Layer 01
Fly
Platform, altitude, overlap and flight line chosen for the deliverable and the airspace — a repeatable mission that can be flown again next month and produce a directly comparable dataset, by a licensed pilot under a documented procedure.
Layer 02
Capture
Calibrated RGB, multispectral, thermal and LiDAR data, georeferenced at the point of capture with RTK or PPK correction. Every frame carries its position, time and sensor state, so what is measured later can be trusted and defended.
Layer 03
Resolve
Processing and AI analysis turn the capture into a specific answer: this string is down, this span is sagging, these four hectares are water-stressed, this fence line moved. It leaves as a located defect list, an alert or a work order — not a folder of imagery.

VidYash Aerospace India Private Limited is an aerospace engineering company incorporated on 8 July 2024 and registered with the Registrar of Companies, Pune, Maharashtra. It is part of the Global VidYash Group, and is the group’s unmanned systems arm — the airframes, avionics, payloads and flight operations behind the aerial work our sister companies depend on.
Most of what goes wrong on a farm, a solar plant or a project site is visible from the air long before it is visible from the ground. A failing panel string runs warm for weeks. Water stress shows in the canopy before it shows in the yield. A boundary moves quietly. A conductor sags a little further each summer. None of it is hidden — it is simply not being looked at, because looking at it from the ground costs more than the problem appears to be worth.
We build the aircraft that make that looking cheap enough to do routinely. That means engineering the whole stack rather than assembling one: structure and propulsion sized to the mission, flight control and autonomy with real redundancy, payloads integrated so the data is calibrated and georeferenced at source, ground control that keeps flights and findings tied together, and the certification, licensing and procedure work that makes the flying lawful and insurable. The aerospace discipline is not decoration here — it is what separates a system that flies a corridor at 3 a.m. in the rain from one that flies well in a demonstration.
The group gives that work an unusually direct proving ground. VidYash AgriTech instruments the fields; VidYash Energy builds and runs the generation, storage and microgrids; VidYash Aerospace flies over both, and over the infrastructure and land they sit on. We are frequently our own first customer, which is the fastest way we know to find out what an aircraft actually needs to do.

Founder & Director
Rahul founded VidYash Aerospace in 2024 to build the aerial layer the group’s other work kept asking for. His view is that a drone programme fails on the unglamorous parts — redundancy, calibration, data provenance, airworthiness and procedure — and that these have to be engineered deliberately rather than bought as a bundle.
He leads the company’s technical direction across airframe and propulsion design, avionics and autonomy, payload integration, photogrammetry and analytics, and flight operations and compliance. He serves alongside co-director Vidya Shantaram Shinde, and works closely with VidYash AgriTech and VidYash Energy, where the fields, plants and sites our aircraft survey and protect are the same ones the group builds and runs.
